We were invited by the owners Kelly and Chris to experience what Yea Peppercorn Hotel had to offer. Yea Peppercorn Hotel is a lovely old renovated building dating back to 1860.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by friendly and welcoming smiles.
Ordering entree’s of Red wine & apple glazed chorizo, and one from the specials board of Pink Oyster Mushrooms, bruschetta w/fresh thyme and Persian feta. Both dishes were so tasty and presented well.
Our choice of main dishes was the Scotch Fillet w/mushroom + seasonal veg.
Presentation perfection! Looked amazing, and smelt fantastic. The scotch fillet just melts in your mouth, and the pumpkin was beautiful.
The other main dish was the Seared Atlantic salmon. Neat presentation, and a nice size piece of salmon. The seared skin went so well with the salsa verde. I loved the creamy seasoned mash.
One of our desserts was ordered after we watched another table being served theirs!
What can you say? The Affogato w/Frangelico was an 11/10 for awwwww!
Our second dessert was the Eton Mess. Who would’ve thought a British miss hap can taste so good!
If you’re looking for an enjoyable drive outside of Melbourne, go and visit the lovely Kelly and Chris at Yea Peppercorn. Not only do they have great food and drink, but accommodation is available also.
We stayed overnight and it was lovely. It was so peaceful and quiet and we could have quite easily slept in till late.
A big thank you to Kelly and Chris for our memorable experience.
