Last weekend we enjoyed a beautiful High Tea in the most divine building. Nestled in the Royal Botanic Gardens is the gorgeous @gardenshouseag It is currently hosting a Retro High Tea on every second Sunday from now until the end of August. The food was delicious, couldn’t choose a favourite as everything was amazing. The weather was perfect too. We enjoyed a walk through the gardens after our lunch. It’s was a lovely way to spend a Sunday. Would definitely recommend visiting for a special occasion.

A warm and filling brunch @blackworkcroydon sitting inside by the window and watching the people pass by. We enjoyed the Mango Sticky Granola, Brekkie Roll, Chilli Prawn Scramble, a Cappuccino and an Iced Chocolate when we visited. Our bellies were very happy when we left!

Along with the buffet, you can enjoy two hours of unlimited Prosecco, cocktails, wines, mocktails, and soft drinks.
We enjoyed a Saturday breakfast at Half Acre and thoroughly loved the buffet. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was warm and cosy. Would definitely visit again!

Spicing things up with Old Bay seasoning!
I wanted to add some flavour to our fried chicken so I decided to use some Old Bay seasoning in the breadcrumb mixture. It turned out great! Nice spice and delicious flavour. The family loved it and will be definitely using the Old Bay seasoning again. I might try sprinkling the seasoning on some hot chips next time. I think that would be really good! They say that there is only two things you need to know about Old Bay - 1. It’s great on seafood and 2. It’s great on everything else!
Old Bay seasoning is available at Woolworths. A great seasoning to have in your cupboard.

Old Bay Fried Chicken Burger (Serves 2)

1 egg
1/2 tablespoon of water
1/2 cup plain flour
1/4 cup of Panko breadcrumbs
2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
1 chicken breast cut in half and tenderised to be thinner for easier cooking
1 cup of Coleslaw
4 slices of cheese
Franks Red Hot Original Thick Sauce
2 Brioche burger buns
Canola oil for deep frying

Beat egg and water in a medium bowl. Mix flour, Old Bay seasoning and breadcrumbs in a large bowl.

Dip chicken in egg mixture, coat in breadcrumb mixture. Coat each piece of chicken one at a time. Discard any remaining mixture.

Heat oil in a deep fryer. Fry chicken about 6-8 minutes or until it’s a golden colour. Drain on paper towels.

Lightly toast the inside of the brioche buns. Place on a plate then start to assemble. Add cheese slices, Old Bay fried chicken, Franks Red Hot sauce and coleslaw. Put on the burger top.
Serve and enjoy!
